Our Colored Knife Kits were a hit. We only had a limited run, but with the exception of the black kits, they have all sold out in about one week. We still have black left, but not for long. We will be making a larger batch this next go around at our shop in the Pacific Northwest, maybe even with some new colors. Check back or check us out on Facebook to get the news when they show up.

Starting today, Klecker Knives is now offering a custom version of Nathan's Knife Kit in the form a Zombie Hunter's Knife. This knife kit is just as fun for kids to assemble and is decked out with cute Zombies (they're all cute aren't they) and some real (fake) blood. Now when the undead hordes come your way or even the vampires, you'll be ready.

I took the opportunity to talk to Nathan about the significance of today's date. We talked about the attack on our country and how many good people lost their lives on this date 10 years ago. He is a very compassionate boy, so he was sad about it and how so many kids lost their moms and dads.
I hope that you will help your kids to understand about this tragedy so that like our parents and grandparents after Pearl Harbor, we too will never forget.
God Bless our service members and emergency workers and God Bless America. May His face continue to shine down upon our great country.
Our new book will be featured at the grand opening of the Cabela's in Winnipeg, Canada this month. If you are in the area, stop by and pick up a copy.
Travers from Backwoods Survival did a wonderful review of Nathan's Knife Kit and our book. Check it out and Travers' other reviews.

We've received a large batch of Knife Kits and they are being prepped for SHOT Show 2011. Make sure to stop by the CRKT Booth to get a free sample of Nathan's Knife Kit.
After reviewing several potential designs, CRKT President Rod Bremer decided on using Nathan's original knife design to kick off a campaign to help educate children and adults about the importance of knife safety. The kit is a perfect way for a yongster to not only learn about knife safety and construction, but he will also learn a little bit about wood working in the process.
The unique design makes it possible for a child to see how the inside of a folding knife works and can assemble or disassemble it when ever he likes. When he is done showing it off, he can simply glue the pins in place and now his knife is much more durable.
The soft wood construction and the very blunt blade make sure that it is very difficult to be injured and makes for a perfect tool to teach responsibility and knife safety to a young child.
